The Green Light

I've officially received the green light to go ahead with my project:

¡Hace Sol!

With luck, I'll be delivering solar panels to every student without access to electricity in La Rioja. It's the kind of project I've always wanted to get involved with, and I'm really ecstatic to have a purpose here! I will try to launch a website soon, but for now we are looking at costs and logistics...there are a few options to make this happen, and several panels are actually designed specifically to fit the XO!

The Little Green Machine

We're hard at work in La Rioja, where our small team is designing projects to carry out over the next few months!

My hope is to look at a set of indicators, and evaluate which ones will most effectively assess the impact of the laptops in primary schools. Hopefully, I'll be able to return to La Rioja and recollect data well after the laptops have been deployed...

Buenos Aires

Made it! I've always wanted to get here, and now I'm finally in Buenos Aires. It is a beautiful city, but tragically I only had a day to roam around. In a few hours I'll catch a bus to La Rioja--a state in the northwest of Argentina where I'll be working for One Laptop per Child.

I have a hard time blogging, so PLEASE PLEASE comment whenever you can! It would be great if this space turned into a conversation..I really don't want to build a cyberego, if that's even possible. I'm sure it is.
